Due to wine's lengthy history and the vast amount of styles of wine available, it can be overwhelming and frustrating learning more about this amazing beverage. This frustration has been exacerbated by some wine professionals who have treated wine as an exclusive club excluding all but a few. This isn't how it should be! Wine is for pleasure and enjoyment. Never be intimidated by French Wines again! I'll cover the history, climate, and classic wine making regions in France. In this class you will also learn how wines are labeled and what that means to you when buying a French Wine.
Ahhhh bubbly! One of my absolute favorite styles of wine! So many to choose from... so little time. In this class you will learn about the different production methods, terminology, and some of the best and finest regions and producers to choose from.
What is a varietal? That's just a geeky way to say a specific grape from which wine is made. Are you a Cabernet Sauvignon fan? Or is Pinot Noir more your jam? Ever wonder why you like Sauvignon Blanc more than Chardonnay? In this class you pick the varietal (wine grape) you love the most or are the most curious about. We'll dive deep into the history and regions of your favorite wine grape and try some of the best samples.
Do you have a favorite wine region? Or have you wanted to branch out and try a wine from a new place? In these classes you pick the region to focus on and I will delve into the history, culture, climate, and everything that makes that region unique. We'll even work on food pairings together to enhance the experience. Go on an adventure to another region from the comfort of your own home.

Click the "Book Now" button on the class topic you are interested in. This will open an email box. Email your preferred date. I'll confirm your date and discuss a wine budget for your class. Once you have settled on a budget for your wines, I'll send over a list of wines to purchase for the class. You can either purchase at your preferred wine source or I can recommend where to purchase the wines.
Classes are typically 1.5 hours long and you'll taste through 4-6 wines. Each class includes a small palate cleansing snack along with all teaching materials except wine. Federal and local laws prohibit me from providing the wine. Wine & Cheese pairing class includes 1 oz taste per person of 5 cheeses. Wine & Food Pairing class includes a small plate of 5 different foods to practice pairing with. All other food is supplied by host. I'm happy to provide food pairing suggestions if you'd like to provide more snacks for your guests.

I am a certified American Wine Expert and a Sherry Wine Specialist. I hold a Level 2 award in Wine & Spirits Education Trust (WSET) and a Level 3 award in Wines. I'm currently a WSET Diploma Candidate. WSET is highly regarded within the wine community. When I'm not studying winemaking or touring a vineyard, I'm with my family hiking, camping, and just enjoying time together.
